The deadline for submitting papers to the IPTComm Conference co-located within the IIT Real-Time Communications Conference has been extended to July 1, 2013. We welcome your submissions to this ACM SIGCOMM supported conference. Please see below for more details.

The IIT RTC Conference and IPTComm are pleased to announce the co-location ofIPTComm at this Fall’s Ninth Annual IIT RTC Conference to be held October 15-17, 2013 at Hermann Hall on IIT’s Main Campus in Chicago. IPTComm is an international conference now in its 6th year. The aim of IPTComm is to serve as a platform for researchers from academia, research labs, industry and government to share their ideas, views, results and experiences in the field of IP-based telecommunications. IPTComm will include presentations of theoretical and experimental achievements, innovative systems, prototyping efforts, case studies, and advancements in technology.

A decade ago, IP telecommunications research was concerned with IP-based protocols like H.323, SIP, and RTP and their interoperation and integration with traditional voice-based telephony. Since IPTComm was conceived, the technological landscape has evolved quickly. Today, voice constitutes just one of a growing suite of real-time data streams exchanged between people and their devices. For example, new web-enabled technologies like WebRTC, cloud-based real-time media processing, and the integration of real-time communications with traditional M2M systems, have not only broadened the scope of IP telecommunications research, but have also resulted in a diversity of research problems that, in many cases, are closely related. The goal of IPTComm is to bring together researchers working in many sub-domains that today constitute IP telecommunications in order to share problems and results and, ultimately, provide a solid foundation to support the future progress of IP telecommunications.

The IPTComm conference scope includes voice and video over IP, Machine-to-Machine (M2M), Internet of Things (IoT), enabling protocols like SIP and WebRTC, mobility, scaling, security, cloud, applications, emerging standards, system analysis, reliability, and architectures. We invite paper submissions addressing theoretical and experimental achievements, innovative systems, prototyping efforts, case studies, and advancements in technology.

AUTHOR INFORMATION

Paper submissions must describe original research, not published nor currently under review for another conference or journal. The program committee will referee all papers, and, as in previous years, accepted papers will be published in the ACM Digital Library subject to approval of ACM in-cooperation status. At least one author of each paper must be registered and present their paper at the conference.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Papers submission is handled by EDAS.

Paper submissions should be 6-8 pages in length with 10 point font using the two-columnACM conference format.

The Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) is pleased to announce that its annual Real-Time Communications Conference (RTC) and Expo will take place October 15-17, 2013 in Hermann Hall on the IIT Main Campus in Chicago, IL.

This is our second year in Hermann Hall, a state-of-the-art conference and meeting venue whose layout, services and proximity to the City make it an excellent place to develop the work of the conference and its participants. Designed in 1962 by Walter Metsch as a full-service, conference and meeting facility and sited in the center of Mies van der Rohe’s IIT Main Campus it is conveniently located just off State Street, immediately south of Chicago’s Loop. Hermann Hall also offers participants ready access to Chicago’s many museums, theaters, restaurants, shopping, sporting venues and night life.
