About: Paul Norkus is developing, shaping, and driving the product and audience-based marketing for our 5G radio and e2e 5G networks solutions as well as communicating to the market the innovation Nokia is bringing around network slicing, including Nokia’s unique 4G / 5G Network Slicing solution.From 2003 to 2014, Paul facilitated in the management of the marketing messages for 3G, WiMAX, and LTE formerly with Motorola and following on to Nokia with its acquisition of Motorola Solutions Networks in 2011. During this time, he also helped market and introduce various solutions around Centralized RAN, Liquid Radio, Femtocell, Operational Support Systems, Seamless Mobility, and service delivery platform offerings.Prior to these roles, Paul spent 13 years in positions as a development engineer and manager of 2G and 3G systems within Motorola. In these roles he designed and developed key features and capabilities for Motorola’s BTS, BSC, and O&M platforms. As a big believer in process, Paul was also heavily involved and drove process improvement to assist in achieving SEI CMM Level 5 level certification as well as designed and introduced the first company-wide marketing stage-gate process for Motorola.Appreciating the opportunity to be at the bleeding edge of mobile communications for most of his career, he continues to focus his work to push the boundaries of marketing for Nokia the way Nokia is pushing the boundaries of 5G.Paul holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN and a Masters in Business Administration from Olivet Nazarene University in Kankakee, IL. He is based out of Nokia’s Naperville facility (sometimes referred to as “Indian Hill”) located in the suburbs of Chicago.
