| This panel discussion will address some of the challenges we face as we move emergency services from circuit switched to Internet-based networks. Conformance testing and Interoperability testing are needed as the different components of the IP-based solution are introduced. Cyber Security standards for the network elements and the information they store and rely on are needed. And the carrier networks themselves face operations and connectivity challenges as they move to implement the new paradigm. This panel of experts from the areas of standards, carriers and element providers will discuss how these issues are being addressed and the obstacles and challenges associated with making NG9-1-1 a reality. |
