About: Ishrat Ahmed is a PhD Student in the Computer Science Department at the University of Pittsburgh. Her primary research interest is Human-Computer Interaction with a focus on educational technology. She is motivated to explore how technology can enhance learning and participation in an educational environment. She takes an interdisciplinary approach to developing authentic solutions that have a direct impact on students. She is currently working on a project incorporating social and contextual factors into a learning technology for middle school mathematics students. She published her work at various international conferences e.g., AIED, CSCL, and ICLS. She also worked as an NLP-Data Science Intern at Vail systems.
