About: Bernard is a retired AT&T, Lucent Technologies and Alcatel-Lucent engineering and sales director with about 30 years experience in engineering, sales and manufacturing of telecommunications solutions especially in the areas of 2G, 3G and 4G networks. He was a co-founder of the Wireless Emergency Response Team (WERT) on 9/11/2001, which put a team of scientists together to push mobile network antennas into the rubble at the World Trade Center to search for victims' cell phones when the network was destroyed. He continued these efforts in later disasters in New Orleans, Haiti and other, to augment and deploy networks that were destroyed. He is a technical paper author and U.S. Patent holder, musician and proud father.
