HackRTC is a weekend-long hackathon focused on creating real-time communications enabled hacks – prototype applications – utilizing software resources supplied by the HackRTC sponsors. We bring together developers, designers, and tech enthusiasts over a weekend to create prototype solutions to real-world challenges, while providing a venue in which participants can showcase their skills, learn from industry experts, network with sponsors, and compete for prizes. To create your hack, you can hack solo, or bring a team, or find some team mates at the event!
Sponsors: Thank you to our sponsors,LiveKit and INdigital without whom HackRTC would not be possible. In order to be eligible to win a prize, your hack must incorporate one (or both) of the sponsors developer resources. To get started on setting up an account and review sample use cases for each of their resources we’ve recorded a short webinar to help you get started which you can view here using passcode: *p80R5NJ
Food: Throughout HackRTC we’ll be fueling hackers energy with tons of great food and drink.
Prizes: At the conclusion of the event, on Sunday afternoon, the hacking teams produce 5 – minute demo-pitches showcasing what they have created. Based on these pitches, judges from the sponsors award prize money to the teams that created the most compelling hacks on the sponsor resources. Presentations: Winning teams will be invited to deliver their demo pitches again to an influential group of industry leaders at the RTC Conference and Expo, October 3-4.
Additionally, all demo pitches will be live-streamed, and recorded and published on our website so hackers effort is rewarded with collateral that can be used on their resumes, at work, or simply to wow friends. We are eager to see what you create as you mash up programmable telecoms with some of the many other services available over the web to solve problems across all aspects of people’s lives!
