About: Dr. Mahmoud Wagih holds a research fellowship at the University of Southampton, U.K. He received his BEng and PhD in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Southampton in 2018 and 2021, respectively, receiving over 5 early career and best doctoral research awards. His interests broadly cover applying novel antennas and microwave techniques to IoT sensing, wearables, and circular sustainable electronics. He has over 45 refereed conference papers on these topics and has delivered several invited webinars and workshops on these topics. He received over 3 best paper/presentation prizes at prestigious IEEE and international conferences. He is a Senior Member of the International Radio Science Union (URSI) and an Affiliate Member of two IEEE Microwave Theory & Techniques technical committees on wireless power, IoT, RFID, and wireless sensing.
