About: DANA KEMACK GOOT was born in Bitburg, West Germany. She received the B.G.S. degree in arts and humanities and the M.S. degree in music technology from the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology, Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, Indianapolis, IN, USA, in 2011 and 2021, respectively, where she is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in music technology. She served as a Research Fellow with the Donald Tavel Arts and Technology Center, Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis. She is the author of ‘‘A Spectrum of Online Rehearsal Applications: A Potential Means for Cultural Connection’’ (Journal of Network Music and Arts, 2022). With her background as a musician and in network music application and human–computer interaction, her research is focused on utilizing network music applications to cross-cultural barriers. Ms. Goot is a member of the Association for Technology in Music Instruction and the College Music Society.
